There is an artificial lake in our village. While walking past it, I noticed these strange crater-like holes in the…

Why were they there?

How long had they been there?

Who had placed them in the lake?

Or had nature somehow created them?

The more I stared, the more fascinated I became.

Their appearance seemed almost artificial.

From a distance, they resembled smooth spheres.

Some appeared larger than others.

Others seemed partially buried beneath layers of sediment.

The mystery only deepened.

The peaceful silence surrounding the lake made the scene even more intriguing.

No one else was nearby.

There were no fishermen.

No hikers.

No signs of recent activity.

Just me and the strange collection of objects beneath the water.

My imagination quickly began creating explanations.

Perhaps they were remnants of an old construction project.

Maybe they had fallen from a vehicle years ago.

They could have been part of some forgotten equipment.

Every possibility seemed equally plausible.

And equally unlikely.

I continued walking along the shoreline while keeping my eyes fixed on the clusters.

The objects appeared in several different locations.

Each group seemed separated from the others by several feet.

That detail made the mystery even stranger.

If they were simply discarded debris, why were they arranged this way?

The organized pattern suggested a purpose.

Yet no obvious explanation came to mind.

I crouched near the water’s edge.

The sunlight illuminated the lakebed perfectly.

The objects became easier to see.

Their surfaces appeared smooth.

Their shape remained consistently round.

They looked almost identical.

At that moment, I realized I wasn’t looking at ordinary rocks.

Something about them felt different.

The discovery transformed a simple afternoon walk into a puzzle.

I considered entering the water for a closer look.

The temptation was strong.

Still, I hesitated.

The lake bottom could be slippery.

The water, despite its calm appearance, was deeper than it seemed.

Instead, I decided to continue observing from the shore.
